How to Install MassMailer

Goto the MassMailer app AppExchange listing and click “Get It Now” button, then choose to install in your production, sandbox, or developer Salesforce org.



Indicate that you have read and agreed to the terms, and click Confirm and Install. When prompted, provide your Salesforce login credentials.




Make sure you select Install for All Users and click the “Install” button.




A dialog prompt for permission to approve third-party settings, Select “Yes, grant access to these third-party web sites”, then click “Continue”.




Click “Done” to finish the complete Installation.




How to Configure MassMailer

Launch MassMailer App


Once the MassMailer app has been installed, go to the App Launcher if you use Lightning and select ‘MassMailer Lightning’ app from the options. If you are using Classic, then go the App Menu and select ‘MassMailer Classic’







MassMailer Account


Once the MassMailer app is launched, click on ‘MassMailer Setup’ which loads the ‘MassMailer Login’ page. Click on the ‘Create User’ button if you don’t have the MassMailer credentials yet. It will automatically create an account with MassMailer and populates the user information such as Email, User Name, Password, API Key.

 

If you already have MassMailer credentials, click on the ‘Edit User’ button to enter the login access details.


Once the credentials are entered, click on the ‘Next’ button which takes you to the Usage details page. You can skip that page by clicking on the ‘Next’ button.


Salesforce Site Domain & Tracking Settings 


Now you are taken to the ‘Tracking Settings’ page. If you don’t have the ‘Salesforce site domain’ setup yet in Salesforce, you can follow the instructions below to set up the same.


Enter your domain, click on ‘Check Availability’, agree to the terms, and click on the button, “Register My Salesforce Site Domain” to register the domain.


Once the domain is set up, go back to MassMailer Setup -> Tracking Setting -> Click on the ‘Setup Site and Sharing Settings’ button. 


This actually sets up the MassMailer site and creates the sharing settings automatically. It also sets up the event notification URL automatically. Click on the Next button to go to the Email Settings page.


Email Settings

Upon the loading of this page, the default objects such as Leads, Contacts, Case, User, Campaign Member are set up in MassMailer automatically. If you have any custom object, that you want to enable in MassMailer click on ‘+’ icon and select the Object and the respective default email field.


Click on the Next button to go to the ‘Unsubscribe Groups’ page.

Unsubscribe Groups

Enter the Name and the Description if you have the unsubscribe groups that you wanted to define and click on the ‘Create’ button. For example, groups such as ‘Marketing’, ‘Newsletter’, ‘Product Updates’ etc.


Click on the ‘Next’ button once the groups' are added.




Sender Settings


On this page, you can set up the global senders as well as the bcc options. You can set the default option for the ‘bcc sender’ as true or false., and also set the default value of the ‘suppress duplicate emails’ option to true or false.


You can click on the Next button to go to the IP Pools page.

IP Pools

This is not a mandatory step and can be done only once the MassMailer subscription has been activated and you have been assigned a dedicated IP address based on the plan purchased.


On this page, you can enter the IP pool name, and the respective IP addresses in this pool. 


Click on the Next button to go to the final step.


Finish

Click on the Finish button the complete the setup.



How to setup Page Layouts


Any Standard or Custom Object Page Layout

Lightning


Navigate to the respective object details page and click on the Gear icon on the top and select the ‘Edit Page’ option. 



Select the ‘Details’ section in the middle pane, and click on the respect page layout that you want to edit on the righthand side.



Classic


Navigate to the respective object details page and click on the ‘Edit Layout’ link on the top right of the record details section.



Select the ‘Related Lists’ option and drag and drop the ‘MassMailer Email Status’ related list into the page layout.



Click on the gear icon next to the MassMailer Email Status related list section, select the respective fields that you wanted to display in the table of records, and click on the OK button.



Campaign Page Layout


Based on which UX you are using either lightning or the classic, navigate to the respective Campaign record page layout edit feature. You can follow the instructions given in the previous section for the same.



Click on the buttons from the left side panel, drag and drop the buttons shown below, to the custom buttons area in the campaign layout.



Click on the related lists from the left side panel, drag and drop MassMailer Email Status related list to the related list area on the campaign layout.



Campaign Search Layout

Lightning


Click on the Gear icon on the top, select ‘Setup’ -> Select ‘Object Manager’ tab -> Search for ‘Campaign’ -> Click on ‘Search Layouts’ -> 



Classic


Click on the Setup link -> Quick Find for ‘Campaign’ -> Click on ‘Search Layouts’.


 



Select and Edit ‘List View’ section, add ‘Send via MassMailer’ button and save the layout.










Select and Edit ‘Search Results’ section, add the ‘Send via MassMailer’ button and save the layout.
