Overview

MassMailer provides an option to suppress emails from an outreach so that specific recipients do not receive emails during a campaign.

Email suppression allows users to control delivery and exclude certain recipients without modifying the original data source.

What Is Email Suppression?

Email suppression is the process of preventing emails from being sent to selected recipients during an outreach.

When a recipient is suppressed:

  • The outreach continues to run

  • Emails are not delivered to the suppressed recipients

  • Other recipients are not affected

Why Suppress Emails in an Outreach?

Email suppression is used to:

  • Exclude specific recipients from an outreach

  • Avoid sending emails to unintended users

  • Maintain control over campaign delivery

  • Comply with internal or business requirements

Suppression helps refine email delivery without changing campaign configuration.

Suppress Emails from an Outreach

MassMailer allows users to apply suppression at the outreach level.

Using suppression, users can:

  • Select recipients to exclude

  • Apply suppression before sending the outreach

  • Ensure suppressed recipients do not receive emails

Once applied, suppression is respected during the outreach execution.

Effect of Suppression on Outreach

When suppression is applied:

  • Emails are not sent to suppressed recipients

  • Outreach status continues normally

  • Suppressed recipients are excluded only for that outreach

Suppression does not delete or modify recipient records.
